Eplan presents the Eplan Platform 2.3, with which pre-planning tasks - such as graphical overviews, placeholders for functions, initial quantity structures for drives, sensors and PLC inputs and outputs or parts lists for costing - can be processed directly in the system. The subsequent circuit diagram creation and detailing of the system makes use of this data without the need for re-entry or transfer from other systems. The central dialog in the platform is the pre-planning navigator. This dialog displays and manages the defined pre-planning segments in the project. Machine/plant structures can be created and edited quickly by using pre-planning macros and by copying and moving existing segments using drag & drop. Alternatively, the CAE software also offers the option of working directly in the graphical editor during pre-planning.
