With the integration of Polymetric, Isra Vision is taking over important 3D technologies for the further development of future product families with integrated 3D machine vision. The plan is to utilize Polymetric's expertise in both 3D metrology and 3D object detection for future product and system variants in various industrial and application areas. Sensors for 3D metrology and 3D robot vision have already been designed as components of the Industry 4.0 roadmap as part of a collaboration launched in advance.

In the past, Polymetric has focused on non-industrial sectors, particularly in medicine with a focus on dental applications. Isra will use this expertise for future portfolio expansions with solutions for the medical market.

Polymetric was founded 17 years ago as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research (IGD).
