Plagiarius competition 2023

Yvonne Junginger,

Submit counterfeits now

Once again this year, entrepreneurs, designers and inventors have the opportunity to submit their original products and alleged imitations to the Plagiarius competition and nominate the plagiarist as the winner.

The "Plagiarius" negative prize is being awarded for the 47th time to manufacturers and retailers of particularly brazen counterfeits and fakes. The aim of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the unscrupulous business methods of product and brand pirates and to sensitize industry, politics and consumers to the problem. The closing date for entries is November 25, 2022.

Before the annually changing jury of experts selects the winners from all the entries, the alleged plagiarists are notified of their nomination in writing by Aktion Plagiarius and given the opportunity to respond.

The award ceremony will take place at a press conference at the Ambiente consumer goods fair in Frankfurt. All submitted originals and plagiarisms will be exhibited from February 3 - 7, 2023. The award-winning products will then be presented online and at Plagiarius exhibitions.

The trophy of the Plagiarius Award is a black dwarf with a golden nose - a symbol of the immense profits that counterfeiters make at the expense of creatives and the industry.
