Apps as microservices
Msg Plaut is now presenting an IT marketplace called Smart Factory Platform. Companies will be able to use it to purchase agile individual solutions and thus keep their production processes up to date.
The Smart Factory Platform is a marketplace for digital use cases in the form of Software as a Service (SaaS) and is designed to enable companies to use applications efficiently in production and logistics. In a kind of modular system, currently required apps can be purchased and tried out by subscription, thus eliminating the long-term commitment to specific products or manufacturers, which usually allows less flexibility. Apps as microservices therefore also offer medium-sized companies the opportunity to quickly implement the digitalization of their production processes. Msg Plaut is launching with 15 use cases - AR for production, resilient edge computing, value stream analysis, digital work instructions and digital store floor management are just a few of them. The platform is to be marketed with the help of Microsoft via Azure.

We will become an active sparring partner for our customers and deliver agile and quality-assured software that is ready for immediate use."
