Acquisition of Wiferion

Puls takes over Wiferon and thus all existing contracts, trademark rights and patents of the wireless charging specialist. In the medium term, users will benefit from Puls's global production capacities.

Wiferion's existing operational team will remain in Freiburg as the Puls Wireless business unit. For Wiferion customers, nothing will change in the operational business. With its own factories in the Czech Republic, China and Germany, the power supply specialist Puls has modern production lines at its disposal. This means that large quantities can be produced in high quality and scaled up as required. Puls can also procure more cost-effectively thanks to its purchasing volume and global sources.

Synergies between Wiferion and Puls

Wireless energy transmission is a special form of power supply. The transformer in a power supply unit is replaced by spatially separated coils. This allows the Puls developers to quickly familiarize themselves with Wiferion's products and technologies. And as Puls already has a strong presence in intralogistics, the wireless charging solutions complement the existing product portfolio and address a similar customer base.

"As a pioneer, Wiferion has successfully established inductive charging for the power supply of mobile robots and forklift trucks on the market and achieved the leading position. With the additional possibilities of Puls, we want to make this system the global market standard and will invest significantly in this," says Bernhard Erdl, Managing Director and owner of Puls.

"Puls employs more than 100 of the best developers in the industry and has global production and distribution sites that take our charging technology and scalability to a new level," reports Julian Seume, former CSO of Wiferion, who together with Matthieu Ebert forms the management team of the Puls Wireless Business Unit. "We are now in a much stronger position, particularly in the areas of new product development and application support, and can offer our customers an even better service."
