Weidmüller, a globally active company in the field of electrical connection technology and automation, has been owned by the Gläsel family for almost 100 years. With the Joachim Herz Foundation, the company says it has now gained an investor and partner who shares its values in terms of education, research, sustainability and social responsibility. "Our foundation promotes application-oriented research projects and makes targeted investments in technology companies. Weidmüller is a globally very well-positioned company that sets standards with its products and innovations. We see great opportunities in this investment," emphasizes Ulrich Müller, Chairman of the Joachim Herz Foundation. Christian Gläsel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and spokesman for the owner family, adds: "In the Joachim Herz Foundation, we have found a co-investor who shares our vision and values. This partnership will enable us to accelerate our pace of growth and expand our international activities."

The cooperation is designed for the long term. There is a particular focus on future markets and innovative solutions for electrification, automation and digitalization. Both partners are committed to education: For the Joachim Herz Foundation, it is the foundation of a free society; for Weidmüller, it is the basis for successful corporate development. According to the company, the Weidmüller Academy and the initiatives of the Peter Gläsel Foundation fit in perfectly with the basic understanding of the Joachim Herz Foundation. The same applies to climate protection and sustainability: both Weidmüller as an industrial supplier and user and the Joachim Herz Foundation as a sponsor and investor set priorities here.
