What is the project situation like for IT and engineering freelancers? To what extent do they get the hourly rate they demand? The project portal Gulp provides answers with the first results of its Freelancer Study 2016 and its Project Market Index 2016.

Hourly rate development: The hourly rates of a significantly larger proportion of freelancers increase from project to project. For 46% of all participants, the hourly rate in the follow-up project was higher than in the previous one. Only 17% had to work with a lower hourly rate in the follow-up project. For 34%, the hourly rate remained at the same level.
