What is the project situation like for IT and engineering freelancers? To what extent do they get the hourly rate they demand? The project portal Gulp provides answers with the first results of its Freelancer Study 2016 and its Project Market Index 2016.

... freelancers (48.7%) were able to enforce their registered claim with the client. In almost two thirds of cases, there was a discrepancy of between 1 and 5 euros between the claim and the actual hourly rate. This area has increased by 1.2% compared to 2015. In 2016, 11% of survey participants received a price reduction of between EUR 6 and EUR 10 per hour - a decrease of 5.3 percentage points compared to 2015.
