Detection with UV light

The OY380520 and OY380523 luminescence scanners from ipf electronic are optical sensors that use UV light to detect luminophores in different materials, thereby triggering a switching operation.

Luminescence scanners can detect objects regardless of the nature of their surface. The scanners can be used, for example, to check the presence or absence of a label on a bottle. Another example is the assembly of various components using different bonding methods. If luminophores are added to the adhesives beforehand, the luminescence scanners can be used to check whether adhesive has actually been applied to the components before they are joined together. The luminescent probes in a metal housing from ipf electronic are protected to IP67 and integrate a rotatable M12 connector for flexible connection. They are suitable for operating temperatures from -20 to +60 °C and have a switching frequency of 1.5 kHz and a range of up to 150 mm.
