Ardelt joined Forto in 2017 and led the digital logistics company as COO from 15 to over 1,000 employees and 20 international locations. Prior to Forto, he worked for the Boston Consulting Group and founded The Amaze App, which was later sold to Zalando.

"The shortage of skilled workers is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. Robco has developed a strong product in a short space of time that is a central part of the solution for the industry. My task now is to translate this ambition into scalable and repeatable implementation," says Michael Ardelt. "I already programmed robotic arms during my mechanical engineering studies and later did my doctorate on autonomous driving at the Technical University of Munich. The combination of robotics, AI and industrial scaling is what makes Robco particularly exciting for me."

"Michael is the ideal addition to our management team - both in terms of content and as a person," says Roman Hölzl, CEO and co-founder of Robco. "He combines operational scaling experience from a phase of strong growth with a deep technical understanding. Exactly what we need to bring our autonomous robots to every production facility."
