Merger with AutoGuide Mobile Robots
The two Teradyne companies Mobile Industrial Robots and AutoGuide Mobile Robots have merged to form a provider of autonomous mobile robots (AMR).

As part of Teradyne , the two companies have already worked together in the past to enable their autonomous mobile robots to work with the same fleet management software. The name of the merged company is Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR). It employs 450 people, including 250 engineers. Walter Vahey, who was involved in the acquisition of Mobile Industrial Robots by Teradyne in 2018 and AutoGuide a year later, will take the helm as president.
