... movements, such as those that occur in people with epilepsy, an additional laser-based safety window was installed. Thanks to the sensor skin integrated in 'Apas', the robot automatically recognizes its human colleagues as soon as they come too close: over 120 sensors ensure an automatic and contactless stop at a path speed of 0.5 m/sec with a switching distance of 50 mm.The emergency stop button is also flexibly positioned at the workstation - depending on the physical condition of the employee or the mobility of their arms.
