Electric, configurable large lifting gripper
Schunk presents the electric universal gripper EGU.
The universal gripper EGU from Schunk is particularly suitable for the flexible loading and unloading of machine tools and is available with all common communication interfaces, PLC function modules and plug-ins from leading robot manufacturers. Thanks to its standard sealing, the corrosion-protected, low-wear parallel gripper is particularly suitable for flexible manual handling of raw and finished parts of different sizes in harsh and dirty machine tool environments.
Its gripping force is infinitely adjustable and available directly from a standing position, which provides additional safety when removing machined workpieces. The power can be flexibly increased by up to 150 % in StrongGrip mode for different workpiece weights. The gripper has an integrated gripping force maintenance function with workpiece loss detection. No referencing is necessary during integration or after switching on. Thanks to the permanent position detection, users always have absolute process control.
