Baumüller
Autonomous mobile robots in the portfolio
Baumüller announces its cooperation with Sesto Robotics from Singapore. The company is thus strengthening its systems and solutions business via Baumüller Anlagen-Systemtechnik with autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for the agile manufacturing of the future.
The AMR systems are flexible transport solutions for applications such as intralogistics, machine loading, testing and diagnostic technology as well as the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. The AMRs can be equipped with different superstructures weighing up to 300 kg and increase productivity in production and logistics thanks to shorter routes, faster transport times and flexibility in the use of materials and tools. Nuremberg-based drive and automation provider Baumüller has the expertise to integrate the AMRs into the existing environment and automation concept and implement the customer-specific superstructures.
The AMRs are available with collaborating robots from various manufacturers, UV and ozone disinfection devices, scissor lift tables, intelligent shelving systems and other customizable superstructures. The AMRs are also suitable for use in class 100 cleanrooms and offer a battery life of ten hours. If the battery charge level falls below a configurable level, the AMR automatically moves to the charging station and requires a maximum of three hours for a full charge.
Baumüller distributes the self-propelled vehicles, which can navigate freely around the room, throughout Europe.
