Martin Braband, a pioneer of remote data transmission, founded the company Tixi.Com in 1998 and has managed its fortunes ever since. On June 1, he handed over the company to FP InovoLabs GmbH in order to take a step back in the future.

Tixi initially launched intelligent modems for retrieving e-mails onto the market. At the beginning of the 2000s, the company entered the industrial market with alarm modems for various micro-controllers from Siemens, Mitsubishi, Moeller/Eaton and ABB. The modems were further developed into gateways, which later became programmable and established themselves in the energy market from 2004 with M-Bus support. In 2018, Francotyp-Postalia acquired the company Tixi.Com GmbH & Co. KG in order to make its own FP security technology accessible for IoT-supported automation with the Tixi gateways. As a logical next step, Tixi.Com is now being integrated into FP InovoLabs GmbH.
