Smart glasses in the Ex area
The Pepperl+Fuchs brand Ecom Instruments, together with its cooperation partner Iristick, is presenting Visor-Ex 01 explosion-proof smart glasses for industrial use in Ex zones DZ1 and DZ2.
With the intelligent wearable weighing 180 g, mobile workers have a companion for tasks that require hands-free use and continuous communication, for example with remote support. A total of three integrated cameras transform the smart glasses from Ecom Instruments into a kind of 'bionic eye': two 16-megapixel cameras are positioned centrally to map the wearer's natural field of vision - so remote support, for example, can see what is happening from the same angle and perspective as the mobile worker. A secondary camera offers a 6x optical zoom and enables barcodes and QR codes to be scanned. The smart glasses are certified for Zone 1/21 and Division 1 as well as Zone 2/22 and Division 2 and have protection class IP68. Ambient temperatures from -20 to +60 °C are possible.
