The A140 from Getac is a robust tablet that was developed in collaboration with an automotive manufacturer and features a brilliant 14-inch full HD display with a brightness of 1000 nits and Getac's "LumiBond 2.0" sunlight readable touchscreen technology. It is equipped with i5 and i7 processors, a hot-swappable battery and various security functions. The optionally available multifunctional handle serves as a holder and kickstand during use or as a way to quickly take the device with you in time-critical situations. The tablet offers features such as a full HD webcam, an 8-megapixel camera and a 4G LTE connection for connectivity. In addition, users can purchase a slim profile vehicle dock that allows the tri-band antenna ports to connect to WWAN, Wi-Fi and roof-mounted GPS antennas simultaneously. "TPM 2.0" monitors and protects every system boot to ensure that the system has not been tampered with before the operating system starts. In the event of theft or loss of the device, the optional "Absolute Data & Device Security (DDS)" allows the user to lock the system remotely. The authentication options include a fingerprint sensor, RFID or SmartCard reader as well as identity and access control functions such as Windows Hello, Microsoft Passport and Credential Guard. The tablet is MIL-STD810G and IP65 certified as resistant to drops from up to 1.20 m and can withstand rain, moisture, vibrations, shocks and operating temperatures from -21 to +60 °C and storage temperatures from -50 to +71 °C.
