Quantum innovation
Keysight accelerates quantum research with new system simulation
With Quantum System Analysis, Keysight introduces a system-level simulation solution designed to revolutionize the development of superconducting quantum systems. The software reduces the dependence on expensive cryogenic testing and enables faster and more efficient validation of quantum architectures.
Quantum analysis at the system level has long been a challenge due to the complexity of integrating different physical domains - electromagnetics, circuits and quantum dynamics - in a unified simulation environment. Conventional approaches are often based on fragmented tools and repeated cryogenic experiments, which are time-consuming and costly.
Keysight 's Quantum System Analysis closes this gap by providing a unified platform that enables early validation of quantum system designs, shortens development cycles and improves design reliability. The platform simulates the complete quantum workflow - from early design to system experiments - covering thermal and qubit temperatures, among others. Newly introduced:
- Time Dynamics Simulator (Rabi, Ramsey etc. via Hamiltonian-based time evolution)
- Dilution Fridge Input Line Developer (modeling of cryostat input lines, thermal analysis, minimization of thermal photons)
Chris Mueth, Senior Director for New Markets at Keysight, explains: "Quantum System Analysis marks the completion of a truly unified quantum design workflow that seamlessly integrates electromagnetic and circuit modeling with comprehensive system-level simulation. Bridging these areas eliminates the need for fragmented toolchains and repetitive cryogenic testing, enabling faster innovation and greater confidence in quantum system development."
Mohamed Hassan, Head of Quantum Solutions Planning at Keysight, adds: "Quantum System Analysis is a major step forward in accelerating quantum innovation. With simulations, we reduce the need for repeated cryogenic experiments and enable researchers to validate system-level designs earlier in the development cycle."
The feature will be part of ADS 2026 and complements Quantum Layout, QuantumPro EM and Quantum Circuit Simulation. According to Keysight, an extension to spin qubits is planned.
