Path to the cloud opened up
With version 13 of the 'P'X Industry Solution', Perspectix is opening up a path to the cloud for users of this configure-price-quote solution. To this end, data storage has been switched to a 'P'X Central Repository'.
As a data hub between product development, sales and end customers, the 'P'X Industry Solution' from Perspectix integrates with the prevailing ERP, CAD and PDM systems and enables configuration on the Internet. According to the provider, a new data storage structure in the P'X Central Repository makes these central functions considerably easier and opens up a path to the cloud for users. At the same time, the security and stability of access to project data has been improved. The 'Central Source of Truth' makes all the latest project data accessible for every device. This improves collaboration in globally distributed sales organizations as well as communication with end customers.
Simultaneous collaboration on large configuration projects is now better supported. A 'Configurations Collaboration Mode' enables the granular reservation of individual parts within configurations and improves the distributed collaboration of many employees on a joint project. The configuration of large machines and systems can now be carried out more quickly and securely.
With the introduction of the new data storage, all important components of the solution, such as the P'X Consumer Communicator, the P'X Update Server and the P'X Print Server, have been converted into Docker images and thus made cloud-compatible.
