Kubermatic and Flecs simplify app management
Kubermatic and Flecs will work together in the future to make industrial applications easier to provide and production environments more flexible to control.
Kubermatic, provider of the Kubermatic Kubernetes Platform (KKP), has announced a technology partnership with Flecs. The aim is to combine industrial software applications and infrastructure orchestration in a joint solution.
Native integration allows companies to roll out more than 70 industrial applications directly on OT devices without extensive configuration. These include visualization, connectivity, logic control and analysis functions. The 'Flecs Stack Wizard' is used to set up the infrastructure and manage Kubernetes clusters automatically.
Flecs also offers the option of setting up your own app store. This allows company-specific applications to be managed, versions to be controlled and security checks to be integrated. OT devices can receive updates, configurations and extensions remotely without interrupting ongoing operations.
The solution supports different operating models - from fully on-premise to cloud-first strategies. Companies retain data sovereignty and can reduce downtimes and operating costs.
According to the company, the cooperation provides a practical blueprint for the next generation of industrial automation: app-centric, secure, scalable and easy to implement.
