Mitsubishi Electric has added two new wide-screen models to its portfolio of GOT2000 series graphical operator terminals. According to the manufacturer, the new GT21 and GT25 wide-screen HMIs can display additional visual information and therefore offer further potential for improving the user-friendliness of machines and corresponding increases in productivity. Other features include two separate Ethernet ports and an integrated audio interface (output), which can be used to output warning messages and other information as spoken text. The HMI GT21 is a Graphic Operation Terminal (GOT) in 7-inch wide-screen format with WVGA resolution and on-board Ethernet, CC-Link IE Field Basic, as well as an RS-232 and an RS-422/485 interface. The GT25 is available with either a 7-inch WVGA display or a 10-inch WXGA display and offers an Ethernet port. The second Ethernet port of the HMI GT25 enables the physical separation of the connection to the information system network and the control system network. Because two different IP addresses can be defined in this way, both security and network flexibility benefit. In addition, this device is optionally WLAN-capable.
