Branch office opened in Norway

The Austrian company Bachmann electronic, which specializes in automation technology for maritime applications, renewable energies and industry, is opening a branch in Norway.

With Jonas Helness (Office Manager and KAM, left) and Fredrik Helness (Technology, right), Bachmann is launching the company's newly established Norwegian branch. Kristian Hansen (Technology, not pictured) will work from Bachmann's Bremen (Germany) branch for the first year.

Bachmann has been active in Norway since 2014. The country is a major shipping nation with the sixth largest merchant fleet in the world. The development towards sustainable solutions and innovations in the shipping industry is also leading to a growing demand for programmable logic controllers (PLCs). These factors make Norway an important market for Bachmann electronic. The branch office is located in Oslo. Jonas Helness is the office manager and key account manager for Norway. Helness previously worked at Autic Systems and Siemens, where he was a sales engineer and account manager as well as key account manager.

The new branch in Oslo is initially staffed with three employees, including two engineers and Helness as Key Account Manager and Office Manager. Two more employees are to be added over the next few years.
