The fourth-generation iCore i5-4210H processor, which clocks at 4 × 2.9 GHz, is used for computing-intensive applications. The low-cost quad-core Celeron J1900 CPU with 4 × 2.0 GHz clock frequency is operated without a fan with a power consumption (TDP) of 10 W. The computers with a footprint of 210 mm × 220 mm offer a maximum of 16 GB RAM and a 500 GB S-ATA hard disk. For safety-critical and low-maintenance applications, the series can be optionally upgraded with an additional hard disk or an SSD. Depending on the model, one or two slots for PCI and now also PCI Express x16 and Mini PCIe provide space for expansions. The interfaces are designed on the front. Six USB interfaces, four of which comply with the fast 3.0 specification, two serial COM interfaces, two RJ45 ports for Gigabit Ethernet, PS/2, audio I/O as well as DVI, HDMI and display port offer connectivity options. According to the manufacturer, the PCs are suitable for continuous use at ambient temperatures of up to +50 °C and can be mounted directly on the machine or in the control cabinet.
