Real-Time Innovations (RTI) is presenting the latest version of its Connext 6 connectivity software, which offers system architects the ability to effectively manage high-bandwidth sensor data, easily integrate standardized interfaces and optimize security for safety-critical systems. The new functions are compatible and interoperable with the RTI Connext product family - Connext DDS Secure, Professional, Micro and Cert. In addition, based on the Data Distribution Service Standard (DDS), the software offers the possibility to integrate OPC-UA into DDS systems and to combine DDS with upcoming IEEE TSN standards. The software provides a data-centric interoperable framework that supports all common operating systems and processor families, according to the manufacturer. The RTI software enables the use of the DDS standard in both the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform and the Robotic Operating System (ROS2). The safety-certifiable version, Connext DDS Cert, fulfills the requirements of ISO 26262 ASIL-D, the automotive standard for functional safety. With DDS Secure, Connext 6 also includes the first secure connectivity software for real-time control and autonomous applications.
