Inka Krischke,

Edge computers for complex applications

To enable complex applications with higher requirements, Wago is expanding its portfolio with two powerful edge computers with 16 Gbyte RAM and 32 Gbyte RAM.

Both devices from Wago are equipped with a more powerful processor, a larger working memory and an extended temperature range of -20 to +60 °C. This enables faster data processing in different areas of application. Thanks to the pre-installed Debian Linux operating system and Portainer container management software, system integrators and programmers save time during commissioning. With edge computing, users can bring cloud functionalities directly to the machine and benefit from a borderless connection between IT and OT. The new edge computers therefore fit perfectly into the automation environment and offer another way to flexibly design systems for complex applications. Users benefit from increased performance thanks to more powerful processors and larger RAM, as well as fast commissioning and higher security thanks to the TPM 2.0 chip and UEFI Boot Secure.
