Axians Germany
Structure and management adapted
The departure of CEO Jacques Dias on August 31 is being used by Burim Mirakaj, the manager with overall responsibility for the DACH & CEE region, to realign Axians Germany.
Jacques Dias, CEO of Axians Germany, will be leaving the Group at his own request on August 31, 2024. Burim Mirakaj, the manager responsible for the DACH & CEE region, is now taking this as an opportunity to restructure Axians Germany with two management areas and fill them internally.
The new management division "IT" combines the business with Business Applications (around own software products such as Infoma, IKVS, eWaste), Enterprise Networks, Carrier IP Networks, Cloud & Data Center Infrastructures as well as Cybersecurity. Olaf Niemeitz will take over as Managing Director IT.
The Telecommunications Infrastructures division, or TI for short, comprises the business of planning, building and maintaining fixed and mobile network infrastructures. Henry Frey, who already headed the TI Fixnet & Mobile business area, will take over as Managing Director TI.
Axians Germany is part of the VINCI Energies Europe East division headed by Dr. Reinhard Schlemmer, whose area of responsibility includes ICT as well as the energy infrastructure, industrial and building technology business in 25 countries with around 26,000 employees.
With a holistic ICT portfolio, Axians supports companies, municipalities, public institutions, network operators and service providers in modernizing their digital infrastructures and solutions. Axians has grown continuously in Germany in recent years and achieved sales of EUR 644 million in the 2023 financial year with 2,700 employees at 49 locations.
