"AI in organizations - How data provision influences the acceptance of AI applications in companies and other organizations" is the title of the keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Matthias Spörrle.

Artificial intelligence has long since arrived in our lives: We use AI-based systems in a wide variety of everyday situations, be it in the form of navigation systems in our cars, translation software or voice assistants such as Alexa and Siri. AI systems support doctors in diagnosing cancer and companies in optimizing processes. But to what extent is artificial intelligence actually being used in companies? What influence does the type of data provision have on the acceptance of AI applications?

The study "AI applications in industry in the DACH region" examines the acceptance and spread of artificial intelligence in organizations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In addition to an inventory of AI applications already in use, the study also looks at data provision. Where is the training data required for AI applications stored? How does the type of data storage influence the acceptance of AI in companies? What opportunities and risks does artificial intelligence present in this context?
