Data transmission / architecture5G transmission masts of the future made of wood?
The new 5G wireless standard aims to make communication and data transmission faster and more efficient. One prerequisite for this is sufficient transmission masts. The TU Kaiserslautern has investigated how these can be integrated inconspicuously and sustainably into the cityscape.

... Ecotelligent is currently developing these designs further. These so-called smart masts will then be set up in a pilot phase in Kaiserslautern. Robeller and Ecotelligent's team are working together with the IT company KL.digital. In summer 2019, citizens will be asked to choose the best model. If the masts prove popular, they could also be used in other cities around the world in the future.
