TSN/Keysight
First integrated test package for TSN
Keysight Technologies has added a test package to its IxNetwork Ethernet test solution to help manufacturers ensure chipsets and devices are compliant with the Avnu Alliance's TSN test plan for IEEE 802.1AS-2020.
With the proliferation of TSN in the automotive, industrial and telecommunications sectors, vendors must ensure proper implementation of the IEEE 802.1 standards to ensure device interoperability. The Avnu tests are designed for test programs that evaluate a product's conformance to the specifications of the standards known as TSN and form the basis for Avnu certification.
" Keysight's conformance package, based on the latest Avnu TSN test plans, will help Avnu members and test houses advance the TSN ecosystem toward open interoperability," said Gary Stuebing, vice president and chairman of the Avnu Alliance. "The test plans cover the basic TSN conformance requirements to support many different applications and uses of TSN."
Scenarios in the TSN ecosystem
Keysight's IxNetwork solution helps chipset and device manufacturers ensure that their products comply with the new TSN standards for silicon. This enables them to offer high-performance devices that work with other standards-compliant devices on an Ethernet network. The TSN capabilities in IxNetwork are used to test and benchmark scenarios in the TSN ecosystem that span relevant IEEE standards. Each IxNetwork test port emulates hundreds of Ethernet endpoints with realistic behavior. The test scenarios are executed using IxNetwork's graphical user interface (GUI) or application programming interface (API) scripts to characterize performance bottlenecks and resiliency.
