Data packets via 10G Ethernet under Windows
The Windows lightweight filter driver bRAWcap from b-plus is a tool for recording and playing back large amounts of data via 10G Ethernet interfaces.
The tool is optimized to enable the sending and receiving of large data packets with minimal use of CPU resources. It operates on OSI Layer 2, which allows insight down to Ethernet level and into the optional VLAN tags (IEEE 802.1Q). To enable temporal correlation of packets, the existing RS/TX time stamps are also made accessible. User-defined byte masks can be used to filter packets, activate or deactivate data tapping and forward the desired data to the network stack. According to the manufacturer, the tool is the central way to access the Ethernet interfaces that are assigned to it. This function offers seamless integration and operation of software without affecting the operating system (OS).
