In mid-February, the co-founders of the Swedish company Jokab Safety - Mats Linger (left) and Torgny Olsson - announce the planned sale of their company (150 employees, 30 million euros turnover) to ABB. With this acquisition, the Swiss technology group is strengthening its position in the field of safety-related automation technology. Jokab Safety Deutschland GmbH (turnover of EUR 7 million), which will initially remain independent, will also be sold to ABB at the end of the year.
