In many systems, the camera, lighting and communication interfaces are provided as individual external components. The
weQube smart camera from Wenglor combines all components and features for image processing in a compact housing. Initially, there are two software packages for the platform: the image processing package 'weQubeVision' and the scanning package 'weQubeDecode' for reading 1D and 2D codes. Software packages, three different types of light and communication interfaces currently result in over 20 different product versions. The product features include multicore technology, autofocus, 3D tracking and two image chip versions (color and monochrome). Ethernet, Profinet, RS 232 and FTP server are available as communication interfaces. The smart camera is housed in an IP67-rated housing; the protective screen with integrated polarization filter is replaceable.
