The
magnetic field sensor designated
BIM-UNTK will be on show for the first time at SPS IPC Drives 2012. It is used to detect reciprocating pistons in compact pneumatic cylinders and, according to Turck, is the shortest magnetic field sensor on the market in this segment. With a length of just 19.7 mm, the sensor with IP67 protection is ideal for detecting particularly short lifting cylinders, pneumatic clamps and grippers. The user benefits not only from increased switching point accuracy, but also from the ultra-compact design: the sensor disappears completely into the T-slot and therefore does not form a target for any mechanical damage.
