Fortinet believes that the US FBI will be forced into action in the coming year: for security reasons, it must penetrate even further into the areas of the web that cannot be found via search engines - the so-called 'deep web'. This also includes questionable file-sharing services. However, according to Fortinet, the increased scrutiny of these anonymous services is also fueling the inventiveness of hackers. Their new and optimized techniques will be even more difficult to detect and eliminate, the security experts fear. The company cites the example of the seized e-commerce platform Silk Road, where it expects a similar development.
