Android malware is spreading:
The security specialists at Fortinet assume that the record sales for cell phones will decline in the coming years. Android developers are therefore faced with the challenge of finding new markets and fields of application for Google's Android operating system - such as tablets, games consoles and industrial control systems (ICS/SCADA). This development has not gone unnoticed by hackers. Fortinet expects the first malware incidents in industrial control systems in particular in the coming year. Even if the security experts assume that there will be no mobile Stuxnet in 2014, they expect cybercrime that goes beyond pure SMS fraud. Fortinet sees a particular threat to household automation devices such as electricity consumption meters or software with remote login that shows or confirms who is at home at a certain time.
