'Curiosity' is the name of NASA's new Mars exploration vehicle, which was developed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratories (JPL) in Pasadena, California. The scientific equipment on board will help to find out whether the planet Mars is - or was - suitable for microbial life.
