The EVCC Basic charging controllers from the 'EV Charge Control' series from Phoenix Contact have been specially developed for use in simple charging stations. All essential functions required for AC charging of an electric vehicle in accordance with IEC 61851-1 are implemented on the control board. By integrating a power supply and an automatic unlocking function in the event of a power failure, the wiring effort and additional component costs are reduced. Configurable inputs and outputs increase the user's flexibility with regard to additional functions such as analog charging current control or monitoring of the charging contactor. The charging status display and device configuration can be carried out remotely on a computer system via an RS485 communication interface. The charging controller is available in four different versions and also as a printed circuit board or in a housing for top-hat rail mounting.
