The winner in the business category is the Bosch plant in Blaichach near Immenstadt in the Allgäu region. Bosch is testing holistic digitalization there and wants to prepare its 3,000 associates for the transition to Industry 4.0. The aim is to network the entire production process. The changeover, which began in 2013, is in full swing. The Allgäu plant and the associated global production network for ABS/ESP brake control systems have already reported remarkable increases in productivity.
