SD2R feed-in converter: The system can be used in solutions for the use of renewable energies and serves as an interface between high-speed generators and the public power grid. The new power sizes 15 kW and 100 kW are now available. The feed-in system is a complete solution: it includes the frequency converter with the associated grid inverter, which ensures compliance with the applicable VDE AR-N 4105 user rule. The electronics specially developed for high-speed motors and generators form the basis of the system, which enables both generator and motor operation with good control performance. The integrated braking circuit acts on the DC link and prevents an impermissible increase in voltage, so that the turbine is protected against overspeed even in the event of a power failure. An external resistor absorbs the power. As the system is supplied with energy from the DC link, the voltage supply for the control system is maintained even in the event of a power failure as long as the generator is running. In this way, the operating status can also be monitored during braking.
