Third place and 500 euros went to the 'Elektrolator' team from TU Ilmenau. Thomas Schönfelder, Nils Ziegenspeck, Markus Meyer (from left to right) and Antoine Heim (not in the picture) have developed a
Roll-E with additional motors. It is designed to support the user when going uphill and not hinder them on the flat or downhill. This is made possible by an unusual grip concept: it is able to detect the user's movements and analyze, completely unnoticed, what the user wants to do at the moment. Be it accelerating, braking, remaining stationary or cornering.
