Capacitive level measurement immediately ready for operation: Thanks to the invention by Kaj Uppenkamp, Prof. Igor Getman and Armin Wernet (from left to right) from Endress+Hauser Maulburg, the time-consuming commissioning of capacitive level measurement is no longer necessary. Previously, it was necessary to calibrate the capacitive probe in the tank. This required the tank to be emptied and refilled. Now, the probe is pre-calibrated during the production process and provides valid measured values immediately. The inventors have developed algorithms that calculate the calibration values, among other things. According to Endress+Hauser, this development should also expand the sensor's range of applications for different conductive media in the future.
