The SKG500 image processing system from Wente/Thiedig is a stationary 3D detection system that has been specially developed for handling systems in automotive automation. According to the manufacturer, it guarantees component-friendly removal of brake disk and friction ring blanks from heavy goods containers. The separate design of the robot and image processing system prevents possible mechanical damage to cable connections and electronic components. The system can be set up directly above the respective removal situation; the recording and evaluation time takes place parallel to the component handling. Intelligent surface lighting is integrated. The system is based on the "VCSBC6211RH" board-level camera from Vision Components.
