Communication between the signal box and the track ensures the safety of train traffic. The inventor Anton Reichlin has been working for years on a new network technology and a new energy supply system to replace the previous point-to-point connection between signals and interlocking. The advantages: A ring-shaped communication network connects all technical facilities along the railroad tracks. It is more reliable and, in the long term, more economical than the expensive cables that had to be installed.
