It has been certified by TÜV for applications in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 PL d and EN/IEC 62061 SIL 2 and therefore meets the requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. In addition to integrated safety, the control unit offers a modular design and flexible programming. Its housing is designed in protection classes IP20 and IP66/67 and offers shock and vibration resistance. An operating temperature range between -40 and +70 °C is specified. In addition, the die-cast housing of the IP66/67 version withstands the direct influence of dirt, moisture and water when used in harsh environments. Up to 300 I/Os can be modularly combined in one control unit. The self-diagnosis and monitoring functions on the CPU card and each individual I/O card are designed to detect errors immediately and bring the machine to a safe state.
