Eaton now offers the
PowerXL frequency inverters up to an output of 7.5 kW with IP66 protection. The devices can be used outside the control cabinet directly next to the motor or on the machine. Shortened motor cable lengths make it easier to comply with the required EMC category. With the frequency inverters, operators can control their machines and systems in a load-oriented manner. The device family currently includes two models: the basic DC1 model for outputs from 0.37 to 11 kW and the DA1 for outputs from 0.75 to 250 kW. The DA1 series supports both conventional three-phase motors, which generally comply with the current IE2 and IE3 standard, as well as highly efficient permanent magnet motors, which are designed for the future IE4 standard. The frequency inverters also include an energy optimizer that can automatically reduce the motor voltage under light loads. The devices offer features such as the auto-tune function, parameterization with 14 standard parameters and self-explanatory type codes. Another feature is the option of copying a parameterization from one device to another using a Bluetooth PC stick, in addition to programming via the buttons on the device or alternatively via a PC.
