Hradil Spezialkabel presents the New Generation twisted pair cable, a robust alternative to the standard coaxial cable. Its typical areas of application are power supply and data transmission for TV inspection robots during underground sewer inspections. Due to their design, coaxial cables often reach the limits of their mechanical-physical load-bearing capacity, as the entire force acts directly on the coaxial conductor in the middle when subjected to high tensile and torsional loads, such as when used with inspection robots. This makes the coax conductor the weakest link in the cable system. If, for example, the heavy TV inspection robot breaks down, it is pulled back out of the duct by the cable. Broken cores inside the cable are then only a matter of time. With the 7.4 mm thick "New Generation Twisted Pair Cable", on the other hand, all tensile and torsional forces are dissipated across the entire cable structure. According to the manufacturer, the twisted pair cable also has very good EMC properties. Unlike coax, there are no length restrictions or data loss for the twisted pair cable. The twisted pair cable is available in lengths from 100 to 750 m, and can also be assembled with a plug-and-play connector on request.
