Graf-Syteco also offers an optional CANopen version of the K series keyboards and the MCM250 and MCM221 I/O modules. Thanks to the CANopen stack integrated in the firmware, the devices can be integrated into CANopen-based automation solutions. In such a manufacturer-independent architecture, the device is integrated via the Electronic Data Sheet (EDS). This means that communication between the devices does not have to be programmed by the user, but can be carried out using Codesys, for example. Communication is then implemented via the SDO and PDO defined in the CANopen standard, which enable the CAN telegrams to be structured flexibly. The six keys have active lighting and a two-color status LED for each key, which can be used to display machine statuses. Depending on the space available, the keypad can be installed either vertically or horizontally.
