Dario Fiege,
Dario Pranjkovic and
Julien Uta (from left to right) have solved a dilemma posed by modern 3D printers: they have designed a cost-effective gripper for serial production. Their robotic hand is equipped with pneumatically controlled air muscles and fingers made of granulate-filled condoms. The three fingers of the robotic hand have amazing gripping properties. The gripper works more efficiently and is significantly more cost-effective than commercial solutions.
