A timber truss-style bridge crane was the starting point for Nils Harder (18, right), Tilman Krokotsch, (17, left) and Tim Zimmermann (17, not pictured). The crane is able to move to certain positions independently. Thanks to precise speed measurements and a revised control system, it can counteract swinging loads. The control system can be used for the three drive motors and for the winch. With the LabView graphical programming language, the developers have opted for industry standards.
