... the invention of Arthur Silber (19). He asked himself how the screen content of a graphics-capable pocket calculator could be printed on a sheet of paper - without tedious and error-prone tracing. The device he developed provides the answer: it transfers the calculator's display to a label printer. Print it out, peel it off, stick it on - done. The jury awarded the invention the Heinz and Gisela Friederichs Foundation prize for special technical achievement, worth 1,500 euros.
